About

The Roade Jazz Club promotes Sunday Lunchtime Jazz in the Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes area. However, its proximity to major transport links makes it easy to get to from any area between London and the Midlands, and even further afield than that.

The events are held every Sunday between September and May, with the exception of Remembrance Sunday. If Christmas or New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday, these will also be break weeks. The events start at midday, and finish at 2:30pm.

There is a wide variety of jazz styles on show throughout the year, and many of the bands which play at the club are among the finest in the country. Bands which play regularly at the major festivals are often seen at Roade.

Facilities are absolutely top class, as the Roade Ex-Servicemen’s Club caters to everyone’s need. A fully stocked bar offers wine, beer and spirits at exceptional value, and Bec’s Kitchen provides hot dinners throughout the event. The chairs are comfortable, and the room is light with a wide window allowing views of the nature outside.

The club events are organized by Tad Newton, himself a jazz band leader. Tad has over twenty-five years’ experience of promoting live jazz, and is continuing to make an outstanding contribution to the genre, both through the club and through his own band.

The Roade Jazz Club is leading the way in live Sunday entertainment. Come and give us a try, you’ll be glad you did!
